Counseling sessions are valuable — but they are time-limited. What happens between sessions, and whether clients have practical tools they can apply in their daily lives, shapes how much the counseling relationship ultimately achieves. A client who leaves a session with new understanding but no way to practice or reinforce it between appointments is dependent on the next session to maintain momentum.

How Counselors Assign Courses and Activities

Counselors can assign individual courses, lessons, awareness modules, activities, or supporting resources to clients through their personal portal. The selection is made based on the client's age, individual needs, presenting concerns, personal goals, assessment results, and the current stage of their care plan.

Assigned content becomes available to the client immediately through their portal. Clients can complete assigned courses and activities at their own pace, review learning materials, and apply practical strategies between sessions. The experience is structured — not a general library the client browses independently — which means what gets assigned is always purposeful and tied to where the client is in their care.

Course assignments can also be connected directly to care plan goals and follow-up activities. A counselor supporting a client with emotional regulation may assign a related SEL module, review the client's completion and reflection during the next session, and document how the learning supported the broader care plan. This creates a continuous model of support where counseling, education, reflection, and skill-building work together — rather than alternating between sessions and empty time in between.

Course assignments in REVYV Clinik are not a standalone feature bolted onto the side of the platform. They are connected to the care plan, the client's goals, the counselor's session notes, and the follow-up activity framework.

When a counselor assigns a course, they can link it to a specific care plan goal — making the assignment traceable as part of the client's overall care. Progress on assigned content is visible alongside session records, assessment results, and task completion status. When the care plan is reviewed, the counselor sees both clinical progress and engagement with between-session learning as part of the same picture.

This integration is what makes the course library clinically meaningful rather than supplementary. It is not homework for its own sake. It is a structured extension of the counseling relationship — designed to be reviewed, discussed, and built upon in the sessions that follow.
